It is with the deepest sadness in my heart that I am writing this.  I still can't even believe that it is true.  On Thursday July 2nd we received a call from Rob Kokordik, Mike's Kokordik's brother and he informed us that Mike passed away.  Go home tonight and cherish what you have, hug your kids and say a prayer for Mike's family.  Remember Mike Kokordik - his smile, his jokes, the way he would stay up ALL NIGHT working on a problem.  We have Truly lost a great employee, friend and person.

Service:

Wednesday July 8th at 6 pm
Spencer Videon Funeral Home
400 Shadeland Ave
Drexel Hill, PA  19026
(610) 259-2200

Mike Kokordik was born in Bryn Mawr, he was a son of Stephen Kokordik Jr. and Mary Ann Yurcisin Kokordik.  Mike enjoyed computers, fishing and scuba diving. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors: In addition to his parents, a sister, Susan Marie Ringler of Darlington, Md.; a brother, Robert D. Kokordik of Aston; and a niece and nephew.

Visitation: 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial: Private.

Below is an email we received from Rob Kokordik.  Please feel free to add your thoughts, a story, poem, whatever you would like about Mike and what he meant to you by commenting to this blog in honor of Mike.  We are sharing this with Mike's family and are sure your kind words will be appreciated.

From Rob Kokordik:

Thank you to all that have offered their support and sympathy to my family regarding the sudden, inexplicable and unfortunate passing of my wonderful brother, Mike Kokordik.  He will be dearly missed by all.

And for those to whom this is new news, I am sorry to have to be the one to pass it along to you.

My brother, Michael, was a wonderful brother, son, and friend who was always there for others without precondition or expectation.  He solved any problems on his own without champion.  He is truly a loss to this world.

You are all welcome to join us on Wednesday July 8th at 6 pm for a humble service celebrating his life at Spencer Videon Funeral Home on 400 Shadeland Ave in Drexel Hill - but only if you promise to smile :) .  If you are unable to make it your support would be appreciated.  What we would like you to do is simple.  Please tell your family - your siblings, your mother, your father or your children, your friends - how much you love and appreciate them.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Regards,

Rob Kokordik and Family.

I'll miss you Mike. You always had a funny joke or a prank to play on an unsuspecting co-worker. The office won't be the same without you.

I remember Mike's smile, sense of humor and "can do" attitude. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Mike was a great supervisor and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He always had a smile, even when spilling his daily ration of coffee on himself. His knowledge and expertise was top-notch and he was always willing to share what he knew with others. We have truly lost a great hero.

I will truly miss Mike's company. He was able to make me laugh when things got too serious, put things into perspective when things got too big, and help me get into more trouble than I should be in with his antics. I always looked to Mike for advice on both technical and management concerns, I learned much from him.

Mike was the older brother to everyone at Trigon, and we will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I am a former employee of Trigon. Mike and I were two of the first techs at TTG. He taught me so much and was always there to help me out. We spent many late nights working on projects and he became much more than just a coworker. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I was saddened by the news of Mike's passing. I am a customer of trigaon and had the great fortune of getting Mike as our IT tech. I used to call him "old Faithful", when ever you needed him he was there. Mike, may god bless you !!

Mike was one of a kind, and his contribution to the world will shine long after his passing. His hopeful spirit and charming demeanor will continue to influence those of us that were blessed enough to be graced with his presence for the extent of our own lifetimes.

I met Mike when he came to work at Keystone, I missed him when he left to work at another company, and was happy to see him when he came back. I truly enjoyed his sense of humor, and his practical jokes. We all will truly miss him.

Mike had a wonderful smile it just lit up the room. I will always remember Mike busting into the Christmas party as a cigar smoking

Santa he made the party that year!

It's so sad but his faith as stated by his brother must have touched many lives.

Wow... such sad news. I knew Koko just a few weeks as we worked together at one of Trigon's clients. But, during that short time, he always impressed me with his sense of humor, willingness to work hard, and his knowledge.

Mike was a great guy and will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

We are so sorry & shocked to hear of Mike's passing......he was far too young to leave this world. He had MUCH more life to live & many more friends to make smile.
He will certainly be missed by all that knew him.
Our deepest regards go to his family. We can never know why some people are taken away in the prime of life.
Only the outpouring of love by so many friends will help to ease the pain that his parents & siblings feel at this time.
It is OK to share your feelings, it makes us HUMAN & separates us from other species.
The saddness disapates after a while but, never the good memories we have.
Sending our deep sympathies,
Joan & Jim Aikens

Koko (as we affectionately referred to him) was such a great colleague and friend. The words selfless, loyal and kind come to mind immediately when I think of him. It's obvious that he made a great impact on others as well. I'm really going to miss his big voice and laughs that could fill a room. Our thoughts and prayers to his family and a promise to laugh at the absurdities of life like Mike always did.

I met Koko on my first day as an intern while at Trigon, 3 years ago. I was only 20, but he made me comfortable right away. His infamous humor, knowledge, and willingness to put himself out there always made him a welcome face. And while we can't see him every day like we're used to, he'll certainly be remembered with great joy.
